I would really love to know what actually happened between her and Star, though I also was hopeful for at least a one-time-only Rosie and Star smackdown.

From what I gathered from Cable Television, gossip hounds were eating it up.
Basically Star was supposed to leave with dignity late last week, but pulled a fast one the following Tuesday morning in a really unscripted way. Although I cannot claim to follow THE VIEW, I have heard that Star was just a nightmare to work with. Plus it was Barbara's creation, so she was basically Star's boss.
